Hi As the subject suggests, I am considering the removal of simgear from testing. The reason is that it suffers from 3 unique FTBFS and it is a a part of a transition (openscenegraph)[1]. I did consider NMUing it, but I have no clue where to start with #634088.
Two of the RC bugs[2] are more than 2 months old with no feedback from the maintainer(s), the last one is only a couple of days old. According to dak[3] it still has some reverse dependencies, namely fgfs-atlas, fgrun and flightgear. flightgear: Has same maintainers as simgear. It also have its own RC bug #634424, but it is too young in my eyes to be grounds for removal. This package is also a part of the openscenegraph transition. fgrun: Under the same team as simgear (but different uploader). No RC bugs itself to my knowledge. fgfs-atlas: Maintained by the uploader of simgear. No RC bugs itself to my knowledge. On a related note, these packages have a "RFH" bug #487388. ~Niels [1] http://release.debian.org/transitions/html/openscenegraph.html Note: openscenegraph is waiting for poppler as well: http://qa.debian.org/excuses.php?package=openscenegraph [2] #556348 - upgraded to RC 1st of May #622059 - filed as RC on 9th of April [3] $ dak rm -nR -s testing simgear [...] Checking reverse dependencies... # Broken Depends: fgfs-atlas: fgfs-atlas fgrun: fgrun [amd64 armel i386 ia64 mips mipsel powerpc s390 sparc] flightgear: flightgear # Broken Build-Depends: fgfs-atlas: simgear-dev (>= 1.0.0-3) fgrun: simgear-dev (>= 2.0.0) flightgear: simgear-dev (>= 2.0.0-2) [...] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-release-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
