Summary: the current sudo has (what I view as) a serious regression
which will break stuff, at least possibly any instance of
sudo (X11 program)
with default configuration.
I'm also pretty sure that it's too late, but still worth a try.
It was fixed in sudo/1.7.4p4-2.squeeze.1, which migrated to Squeeze.
