You don't recall correctly. Etch had MoreBlue theme (see http://www.debianart.org/cchost/?ccm=/media/files/si0ux/334 for a slightly updated version). Lenny has MoreBlue Orbit, see http://wiki.debian.org/DebianDesktopArtworkLenny.
