Hi again! A couple of weeks ago, I requested an unblock for pyxplot and (quite sensibly) it was suggested that a little more time in sid would be appropriate first.

Can you please unblock it now? On Saturday 14 August 2010 06:46:04 Mehdi Dogguy wrote: > The "doc" target in your debian/rules file is executed no matter which > packages dh will act on. This is an excellent point and I had considered doing this when splitting off the doc package; however building the documentation, while unnecessary for building the binary packages, does act as a test suite for the arch-dependent parts. In building the documentation, 60 different figures are created which exercises pyxplot quite well. In the absence of a formal test suite, I'd like to keep it there -- it found the bigendian problem for me (#591538) and it seems to have found another build problem on ia64 too. I'm assuming that pyxplot on ia64 is in some way broken rather than it just being the documentation that's failing to build (I don't have access to ia64 to work on this at present; that's for squeeze+1 at this stage). I guess I could split off the latex parts of generating the documentation. It wouldn't trim the B-D list much at all but would save a little buildd time; your patch will make a reasonable starting point for doing that. Thanks ;) cheers Stuart (Please Cc me in replies) -- Stuart Prescott www.nanoNANOnano.net
