The most noticable is that the https code will refuse connections if the peer can not be verified by a trused signature (it will behave likfe firefox3 here). This can be overwritten by the admin of course (details in the apt-https-method-example.conf file). The other change is a fix in the way the checking for new important dependencies (recommends) are done. The progress reporting change is a fix that will now show running triggers in the UI (e.g. in synaptic). It really "just" UI improvment, but without the patch, it looks like some packages are hanging (in the UI) when in fact triggers are processed. Both changes are taken from ubuntu and are available there since some weeks without problems. The Dkgg::NoTriggers option is off by default and just gives us more flexibility in the future. Because of the additional code changes I uploaded into experimental (not because anything in it is experimental) and will upload to unstable if you approve of the changes. Please review and give me feedback. Thanks, Michael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
