What did you do to isolate the problem? Did you try to build it yourself on another ia64, merulo.d.o for example? Did you ask the porters and the debian-ia64 ml for help? Why exactly do you think it is a bug in jppy and not in one of its dependencies? SIGBUS is usualy another name for SIGSEGV, especialy on arches with strict alignment rules. Also please note that binary removals are done by the ftp team.
