I think it worked quite well for Etch with gcc*, so we will probably do the same for Lenny. So, please, in case there are changes wanted, speak with us first and tell us open about the risks, and we'll manage to come to a way that's usefull for Debian at large and all of us. (And one change is already under consideration at the moment, no need to repeat such questions.)
