The mail-notification package depends on libeel2-2 (>= 2.14.0) but the package is not available. Because of this the package can not be installed from a missing dependency.
The dependency problem was changed in the version from unstable: libeel2-2 (>= 2.12.0) [hurd-i386] Package not available libeel2-2 (>= 2.14.0) [kfreebsd-i386] Checking mail-notification * trying to update mail-notification from 3.0.dfsg.1-10 to 4.0~rc2.dfsg.1-4+b1 (candidate is 90 days old). One fix would be to create a libeel2-2 dummy package that depends on libeel2-2.14 | libeel2-2.16 or add in these two packages a PROVIDES: libeel2-2. I didn't complete a bug report yet because this could be fixed by unblocking the new version from unstable. Should this problem be fixed in etch?
