Which now takes over firebird-dev.
True. As intented.

I just saw (passing by #debian-qt-kde mentioning this):

$ apt-cache showsrc qt6-base

That firebird-dev (<< 4.0~) is not unfullfillable in sid.

Which is being worked on - removing the << it seems.

That ends up in a libfbclient2 (>= 2.5.0.25784~ReleaseCandidate1.ds2) dependency,
though becuase it ends up using taking .symbols and not .shlibs (whereas I take .shlibs
in LO to go sure, which the issue talked about before shows is a good idea and as said I
added a << condition too...) - so won't be a blocker, though.

> This is not supposed to be a transition, not this time.

That makes this even more a transition which should have been coordinated, if both Qt
"FTBFS" (if the build-dep is not changed) and LO fails to work without forcing
firebird4.0-server-core.

That said, this "transition" would be OK now if firebird4.0 did migrate. It dos
not (holding  up e.g. libreoffice for the poppler transition and RC fixes):

$ grep-excuses firebird4.0
firebird4.0 (- to 4.0.5.3140.ds6-12)

    Migration status for firebird4.0 (- to 4.0.5.3140.ds6-12): Will attempt
migration (Any information below is purely informational)
    Additional info:
    ∙ ∙ Piuparts tested OK -

    ∙ ∙ autopkgtest for firebird4.0/4.0.5.3140.ds6-12: amd64: Pass, arm64:

    ∙ ∙ New but not reproducible on i386 - info ♻
    ∙ ∙ Required age reduced by 3 days because of autopkgtest
    ∙ ∙ 6 days old (needed 2 days)

this doesn't migrate because of (see
https://release.debian.org/britney/update_output.txt):

trying: firebird4.0
skipped: firebird4.0 (33, 0, 357)
    got: 38+0: a-2:a-9:a-12:a-0:i-14:m-0:p-0:r-0:s-1
    * amd64: firebird3.0-server

(it breaks firebird3.0-server in testing)

and the new firebird3.0 is not a candidate because it fails piuparts:

$ grep-excuses firebird3.0
firebird3.0 (3.0.12.ds7-6 to 3.0.12.ds7-8)
    Maintainer: Damyan Ivanov
    Depends: firebird3.0 firebird4.0
    Migration status for firebird3.0 (3.0.12.ds7-6 to 3.0.12.ds7-8): BLOCKED:
Rejected/violates migration policy/introduces a regression
    Issues preventing migration:
    ∙ ∙ Rejected due to piuparts regression -
https://piuparts.debian.org/sid/source/f/firebird3.0.html
    ∙ ∙ Depends: firebird3.0 firebird4.0
    Additional info:

    ∙ ∙ Required age reduced by 3 days because of autopkgtest
    ∙ ∙ 7 days old (needed 2 days)

So what is the status of this?

Regards,

Rene
