You need to CC the receiving package when reassigning, otherwise it only receives the control@ output, which isn't very helpful in terms of working out what's going on, or being able to reply. In any case, I'm confused as to why this was reassigned. Your original request says "Please, remove this source package and its binary from the archive", for which ftp.d.o was the right place.
