The nufw package currently has a 1.0.23-1.1 version in unstable. The version in testing is 2.0.9-5.2
The debconf templates in testing are quite badly written and some of them are even impossible to understand. In the same time, most of these templates were rewritten for the 2.0.9 version in a NMU I did back in December. In the same time, all translations in testing are strongly outdated because the maintainer ommitted to run debconf-updatepo. So while some PO files appear as complete they are about 60% complete. I hereby propose the following: - for common templates, bring back the text of the unstable version - for templates that are only in testing, rewrite them to make them compliant with the Developer's Reference - update existing translations with the following method: - merge PO files from unstable and testing - resync them with the rewritten templates The result of this, if translations are not updated, is translations with the same translation ratio than before, so no regression. Of course, a last action will be: - call for translation updates As a consequence, on can expect: - much better debconf templates - for some languages, complete translations of these templates In general, this would slightly enhance the version in testing. Would I ve authorized to do that upload? Attached are the changes to the templates files. Other changes will only include debian/po/*.po files
