Status: I've sent requests for comments about https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/merge_requests/45 this week to maintainer team mailing list and recent contributors and DDs who have reported bugs in 2023.
I will wait for 6h more for opinions and then finalize the next upload version.
