What do you think is the best way to proceed?
Option 2 seems the safest. Please upload to experimental and request
another transition slot.
Hello again,
How firm are you on wanting us to proceed with Option 2 for this? The big
downside to this is that we would have to maintain a downstream soname
version essentially forever. Aside from this diversion from upstream,
we'd have to rely on a upstream's unmaintained and Python 2-only build
tool, Bakefile.
Would Option 1, which was "Rebuild wxWidgets and then binNMU all packages
that link with libwx_gtk3u_gl library (about a dozen packages)." be
acceptable? We could also add appropriate "Breaks" to the library package
containing the gl library.
Thanks,
Scott
