I know it only seems like yesterday that we did the mutter 40 transition; but it was delayed by a few months by the freeze, and a GNOME release cycle is only 6 months long, so it's already time for the next major release. This is staged in experimental, and is not entangled with other packages like evolution-data-server, gsettings-desktop-schemas and libgweather this time round. As usual this will require sourceful uploads of: * mutter * gnome-shell * gnome-shell-extensions * budgie-desktop (non-GNOME-team but the maintainer is usually very quick, and has already uploaded a suitable version to experimental) and then updates or removal for most Shell extensions. Some are already fixed in experimental, or even in unstable for extensions that happen to be compatible with both 40 and 41. Many of the rest were already autoremoved from testing due to incompatibility with Shell 40. smcv
