I don't fully understand what you say here. We *do* run autopkgtests in stable to check for issues. The results (if negative) show up here: https://release.debian.org/proposed-updates/stable.html You can currently see one REJECTED_PERMANENTLY there. So yes, if this breaks the test (and only the test) that's valuable information. Paul
