MYSQL_SERVER_VERSION is documented here: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/c-api-server-client-versions.html error: 'MYSQL_PORT' undeclared here I couldn't find it documented, but I think it should be fixed too fatal error: mysql/mysql_time.h: No such file or directory this doesn't seem to be a part of the API, one should only include mysql.h
