Dear release team,
I would like to request transition for sip4 package, which has a new ABI
version, 12.x. It has been available in experimental since January.
For sip4, python-qt4 and pyqt5 I will do sourceful uploads.
Other packages build-depending on python-sip-dev or python3-sip-dev will
need binNMUs. All of them should build fine except ball, which is fixed in
Vcs and I hope will be uploaded soon (otherwise I can NMU it). See #867660.
Unfortunately there are some packages that do not use our dh_sip/dh_sip3
helpers. They do not get the dependency on virtual ABI packages and so will
show as unknown in the transition tracker. You can either include them in
binNMU list, or ignore; they will not block sip4 migration.
