Testing includes, as of the past few days, a bazillion packages not installable on powerpc.
I have not check each one of these in detail. The following packages have been kept back: bug-buddy capplets-data dia-common dia-gnome dia-libs eog evolution file-roller galeon galeon-common gcalctool gconf-editor gedit gedit-common gimp gimp-data gimp-svg gnome gnome-applets gnome-applets-data gnome-control-center gnome-core gnome-cups-manager gnome-desktop-environment gnome-games gnome-games-data gnome-gv gnome-media gnome-office gnome-panel gnome-panel-data gnome-session gnome-system-monitor gnome-system-tools gnome-utils gnomemeeting gucharmap libbonoboui2-0 libbonoboui2-common libcamel1.2-0 libebook1.2-3 libecal1.2-2 libedata-book1.2-2 libedata-cal1.2-1 libedataserver1.2-4 libedataserverui1.2-4 libeel2-2 libegroupwise1.2-5 libgal2.4-0 libgal2.4-common libgnome-desktop-2 libgnome2-0 libgnome2-common libgnomecupsui1.0-1 libgnomeui-0 libgnomeui-common libgnomevfs2-0 libgnomevfs2-common libgphoto2-2 libgsf-gnome-1 libgucharmap4 libpanel-applet2-0 libpt-plugins-alsa libpt-plugins-v4l nautilus nautilus-cd-burner planner rep-gtk rep-gtk-gnome sawfish totem totem-xine xbase-clients xlibs-dev xutils yelp When I try, for example, capplets-data, it apt-get wants to remove capplets. Why?: capplets: Depends: capplets-data (= 1:2.8.2-3) but 1:2.10.1-6 is to be installed I thought this was never supposed to happen in testing. It looks like a lot of Architecture: all packages have been let into testing in ways that break architecture: any packages.
