http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=288445 For me this package is easier to use than apt-get for newbies, so it should be pushed to sarge... Michael put the new version there : http://people.debian.org/~mvo/synaptic/sarge/ Thanks a lot for your work... I'm using sarge on three computers there at home (one server, one desktop computer, one laptop) and found woody to much work to use backport (problem with new kernel, unicode and the likes) so decided to go to sarge even if it isn't so stable yet.
