So, it appears that the issue with adding a talker was that I didn't add a name, and there is no "*" or whatever to indicate that it's a necessary field.
So now i have a speaker. I tried to open a .txt file to speak it, but I can't hear anything. I'm using amarok at the moment so volume isn't muted. 2017-02-27 13:15 GMT+01:00 John Paul Adrian Glaubitz <glaub...@physik.fu-berlin.de>: > Control: tags -1 moreinfo > Control: tags -1 unreproducible > > Hi Salvo! > >> I installed jovie, i have recommends enabled, I tried adding a talker but >> the "ok" button >> was disabled in the selection window, so I couldn't. > > You need to specify a name otherwise the "OK" button remains inactive. > > I just installed jovie, added a English US speaker with the name "Joe" > and was able to use Jovie just fine. > > Can you please try again?
