I think the easiest way for us (the Qt maintainers) will be to patch the symbols files after GCC 5 as default lands in unstable. If you want us to do it earlier, please let us know about that. (This applies to all Qt stack, not just qtxmlpatterns). -- Dmitry Shachnev
