This is probably the same as the upstream bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259183 . If it is, this is a regression, since this setup works correctly in KDE 4.4 and doesn't work in KDE 4.5 and above (tested on KDE 4.5.4 up until 4.7.0).
