I have fireworks X screen saver and Composite enabled. This seems to make
screen saver die after some time of
execution. After the screen saver dies, kdesktop_lock hangs the X screen. All
my previous content can be seen (as
there's no screensaver on top), but it does not respond to clicks or keypresses.
After this, I have to change to a text console (Ctrl+Alt+F1, for example),
login, and kill the kdesktop_lock process.
This makes my X screen usable again when I return to it (Ctrl+Alt+F7).

Hi,
You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/482038
in the Debian BTS against the package kdebase.
Debian has switched to KDE 4 in unstable and kdebase
does not exist in KDE 4. Therefore, I am closing this bug as fixed
in *unstable*. The bug will remain open for stable since it is
shipping KDE 3.5.
