Package: kword Version: 1:1.6.3-3+lenny1 Severity: normal I set the KDE background colors to dark gray and foreground colors to white. kword uses my background color but not my foreground. The result is black text on dark gray, which is hard to see. I think if you use the KDE background, then you should use the KDE foreground, too; and if you ignore the foreground, then you should ignore the background, too. (For example, the Writer of OpenOffice ignores the KDE colors and simply shows black text on a white background, which is good.)
I know a workaround is to customize colors in kword (not tested, though), but I think the default behavior should better be fixed. By the way, I tried to submit this bug to the KDE bug tracking system, but it didn't allow me to proceed on the ground that Debian's KDE (version 3.4.3, right?) is too old.
