I think you misunderstand something here. x-terminal-emulator does not provide anything. Both konsole and zutty provide it (several more terminal-emulators do as well). If a package needs to depend on a terminal-emulator, you can simply depend on x-terminal-emulator instead of listing all available ones and then any package providing x-terminal-emulator will satisfy the dependency. > I can also provide apt logs, or something else if needed. Which command did you run ? Unfortunately, I still don't see why zutty is pulled in. What you can do after installing it is to run "aptitude why zutty".
