I use gdm, kde and xfig. When I select "kde" as window-manager using gdm's menu, I can't use xfig with KDE. It however works with other window manager. Another user reported this problem few month ago: http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2003/debian-user-200310/msg05692.html However, when I set KDE as default window manager (update-alternative) and select "Debian" as a window-manager in gdm's menu, xfig works perfectly (under KDE!). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux flamel 2.4.23-1-686 #1 Sun Nov 30 20:51:10 EST 2003 i686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------- Received: (at 227539-done) by bugs.debian.org; 16 Nov 2004 18:28:14 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Nov 16 10:28:14 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from uittosatama.fi [217.30.179.138] (postfix) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CU83p-0008M1-00; Tue, 16 Nov 2004 10:28:13 -0800 Received: by uittosatama.fi (Postfix, from userid 573) id 28F2FEE807E; Tue, 16 Nov 2004 20:28:11 +0200 (EET) Date: Tue, 16 Nov 2004 20:28:10 +0200 From: Riku Voipio <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Xfig problems not kde related Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline X-message-flag: Warning: message not sent with a DRM-Certified client User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.6+20040907i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: Xfig should work fine in kde these days, atleast sarge and sid.
