Intrigated by the keyword "unreproductible", I just wanted to say that after a sid upgrade, kdm doesn't seem to run the script in /etc/X11session.d as I have no ssh-agent and no numlockx. I experienced this on my Debian boxes at work and at home. Hope this helps and thanks for the good work.
