I don't object to the files being *copied* (or symlinked) elsewhere. What I was basically trying to say was: 1) it's not an error -- they were put where upstream meant to put them; 2) they shouldn't be *moved* elsewhere (as requested in the bug report), since this will break the docs. But more to the point, I don't believe these style files are even necessary. The tetex in sid supports -src, which does the same job as these style files but is more robust (AIUI). Ben.
