Note that the command that is mentionned as executed in command region
of the keyboard layout (setxkbmap -model pc105 -layout fr -variant
basic) works as expected and does not corrupt the ATLGR key...
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ setxkbmap -model pc105 -layout fr -variant basic
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[EMAIL PROTECTED] <== all requiring the ALTGR key on a french
keyboard...
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ setxkbmap -print
xkb_keymap {
xkb_keycodes { include "xfree86+aliases(azerty)" };
xkb_types { include "complete" };
xkb_compat { include "complete" };
xkb_symbols { include "pc/pc(pc105)+pc/fr(basic)" };
xkb_geometry { include "pc(pc105)" };
};
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ dpkg -S setxkbmap
xbase-clients: /usr/X11R6/man/man1/setxkbmap.1x.gz
xbase-clients: /usr/X11R6/bin/setxkbmap
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ type setxkbmap
setxkbmap is hashed (/usr/X11R6/bin/setxkbmap)
So this is really a bug somewhere in the kcontrol panel...
