Package: korganizer Version: 4:3.2.1-1 Severity: minor Tags: sid Calendar in 3.1 had a 3D-looking appointment look that was very attractive. The current default colors are a vast improvement, but the flat look of the appointment entries (default light green) is a step backwards. In addition, text is now centered only in certain cases (when the dark time bar is present), otherwise it is adjusted left and I don't see a way to change it.
Could we please get the great-looking 3D style back, and centered text in all cases? The day/week/month series of icons are clearly improved, but the printer and floppy icons are nicer in 3.1, and the subtle "go forward" and "go backward" icons have been replaced by garish ones ... I realize this is subjective, but there is a visual consistency to KDE apps that make them extremely attractive, and I think my suggestions and preferences go in the same direction: understated, effective blue graphics with a pseudo-3D feel... ;-) It would be great if we could skin our calendars -- though the only thing I'm really missing is the 3D look. The addressbook view is vastly improved. In the case of toolbar icons, could we get the option of selecting the icon, not just its size? As you KDE guys know, aesthetics really does matter! A lot of users will be attracted to free software because of your work. Incidentally, this KDE upgrade is absolutely incredible. Almost all the changes to the crystalsvg icons are great improvements (except konsole). I did a straight upgrade from 3.1 and haven't encountered a single hitch.
