I'm using maildir folders and I've emptied each folder with no effect. Sometimes KMail stays running long enough to compact the folders and tidy up (the .index files all show timestamps in line with the last run of KMail). All except 3 folders are now completely empty but still KMail crashes when I change folder. Changing from the inbox to the outbox causes KMail to be unresponsive for a couple of seconds before it crashes with no messages or KDE error box so I never get a chance to see the backtrace. Running KMail from a console I get: *** KMail got signal 11 (Crashing) once I've clicked on any folder. It also crashes when I try to view the properties of any folder (e.g. to view the mailing list entry).
