Hm, okay. I wonder if there's something messed up just in my case, then. I started using 'xclip' to specifically dump each buffer, and when I go to www.google.ca and 'copy link address' on "Advertising Programs", I get primary:http://www.google.ca/ads/ secondary: clipboard:http://www.google.ca/ads/ buffer-cut: which (technical correctness aside) does match the behaviour I (have come to) expect. On the other hand, oddly, when I do the same on a bookmark, I get primary: secondary: clipboard: buffer-cut: which would seem to imply that it's not filling *any* of the buffers (yikes). But this is impossible, because I can middle-click in Konqueror and paste the URL, or even in X-Chat (non-KDE). Hence, I seem to have a lot of conflicting reports: * According to Konqueror, X-Chat, and Konsole, everything is fine. * According to urxvt, it's clearing and not filling the primary (clipboard unknown). * According to xclip, it's clearing *both* primary and clipboard. Hard to figure out what on earth is going on.
