Package: tracker.debian.org
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have noticed that there are several packages in t.d.o that are missing
the "general" secton altogether. This is the section that contains some
important data about the package; including source name, version, maintainer,
uploaders, arch, standards version, and vcs links. This incident is been
more recent. I have been noticing this for the new packages that (I maintain
and) has been accepted into the archive within the last two weaks.

Some examples are:

- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/rust-io-extras
- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/rust-cap-rand
- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/rust-deadpool

There has been more weird behaviors they were exhibiting. After they were
accepted into unstable, after no amount of time were they showing anything
related to build/autopkgtest or anything and no excuses whatsoever. Instead,
after a while they were just shown as migrated to testing. And even after
the packages were both in unstable and testing, "package is gone" was still
shown for quite a bit of time.

This is all related to recent issues we had with extracting information
from the source package... some Maintainer fields were broken and it
broke the process to update the data of the tracker.

I added a quick work-around first to skip those entries but the lack
of Maintainer data for those entries then broke the process which
generates the date for the "General Information" panel.

I have now pushed a proper fix to better cope with the bad Maintainer
fields and I am rerunning a full import. It will take a while.
But this should fix this.

I'll also push a fix so that the General Information can be generated even
when the maintainer data is missing.

Cheers,
