In general, it is a bug to not use set substitution variables. If there are cases where they shouldn't be used, then the tools that generate them need to be fixed. It would be fine for bls to ignore the specific ones that are deprecated, if there is some reason that the deprecated variables can't be just removed yet. -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
