retitle 499546 PTS: shouldn't suggest packaging new upstream release when it is waiting in NEW user qa.debian....@packages.debian.org usertags 499546 - dehs usertags 499546 + pts stop
I agree with the original bug report that it's a bug in PTS. DEHS contains uscan results. An uscan result may be that a version in unstable is older than upstream. There are multiple consumers of this information. DDPO simply displays this information. Whether or not there is already a newer package in NEW does not make displaying the information wrong. PTS does not simply display this information, but presents it as a TODO, with the text "you should consider packaging it". When there is already a package in NEW then PTS presenting the TODO is wrong. So it's not a bug in DEHS but in PTS. A recent example is the package givaro. http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/givaro.html http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?packages=givaro http://ftp-master.debian.org/new/givaro_3.7.1-1.html https://forge.imag.fr/frs/?group_id=187 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qa-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
