UDD gets its DEHS data from http://qa.debian.org/cgi-bin/udd-dehs. That contains: - debian-mangled-uversion: 6.3.1 debian-uversion: 6.3.1 package: emboss status: Newer version available upstream-url: ftp://emboss.open-bio.org/pub/EMBOSS/EMBOSS-6.4.0.tar.gz upstream-version: 6.4.0 So it's DEHS that thinks that the current Debian version of emboss is 6.3.1, while it's 6.4.0.
