It would be good if debcheck could check for obsolete transitional packages so that maintainers can know that it is time to remove them. The default time period should probably encourage the removal of transitional packages that were introduced in oldstable after oldstable is moved to archive.debian.org. Debian doesn't support upgrades from oldstable to oldstable+2 so maybe debcheck should encourage the removal of transitional packages that were introduced in stable after it is renamed to oldstable. -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
