Hi,

I wrote a script named find_overrides[1] which finds
packages depending on packages with a lower priority
and proposes overrides to increase the priority of
the lower-priority package.

The tool is run with the name(s) of the archive(s)
(like "unstable") as its argument(s). It uses the
local APT configuration; but only uses packages
in main which are from sources with Origin: Debian.

I created two lists, one for unstable and one for
experimental:
  http://people.debian.org/~jak/find_overrides.unstable
  http://people.debian.org/~jak/find_overrides.experimental

The tests were run on amd64; I will soon enhance the
tool to test all architectures.

[1] http://people.debian.org/~jak/find_overrides.py
    (requires python-apt from testing)

I am not subscribed to debian-qa, so please CC me. I also
CCed ftpmaster, as they maintain the override files.
