I'm trying to find out about Ernesto Nadir Crespo Avila, the maintainer of sshguard, because the package is way out of date with upstream and needs some love.
I mailed Ernesto at his last known address a week ago, offering to co-maintain, and haven't heard anything, which I was half expecting. The last upload of sshguard was December 2007 and his last activity on any lists, that I could find, was early January 2008. He doesn't seem to be a DD but was sponsored by Anibal Monsalve Salazar, last upload of any packages was January 2008 also. If he's MIA, I'd like to make a QA upload of the new upstream for this package, since I want to use it on some boxes and its popcon rose steadily throughout 2008. Your thoughts on this welcome, if you'd rather just a delayed NMU for now that's fine, though either way I will need sponsorship.
