Folks,
I've been working on removals and QA uploads and such but I feel like
I'm working in a bit of a vacuum. Do we have any establish guidelines
for removing a package vs PROP_RM?
A couple of examples:
mesa-legacy: Orphaned, buggy, I can't even find an upstream. However
libgl1-mesa-glide3 is an optional depends for tlprender.
gqmpeg: Orphaned, buggy, hasn't seen an upload since 2004. Upstream
inactive since 2004. But has moderate popcon score.
So my thought process is PROP_RM mesa-legacy and ask the tulip
maintainer to remove the dependency and then RM: it if someone doesn't
pick it up in the mean time. For gqmpeg, I'm tempted to just RM: it?
Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Barry deFreese
