I added a feature to developer.php to keep in a cookie the appropriate settings about the columns display. You can look at http://qa.debian.org/developer2.php (I didn't commit the changes before having some feebacks). You need to allow cookies but if you don't want to use cookies, you can provide fields in the url. Although, these fields override the cookies values while they are also used to set the cookie. The "display settings" section is hidden by default with the same mecanism as "help" and "general info".
