Benoit is the maintainer of liblog4j package which is wildly used by the java packages to build and to run. liblog4j is in contrib, so it prevents a lot of java packages to go in main. I already file a bug 123 days ago to ask Benoit: 1° Why isn't the package built from sources? 2° Why is it in contrib? I also filed another bug 48 days ago with explicit title: #230441: liblog4j1.2-java: why is liblog4j1.2-java in contrib?
