I noticed by chance that this bugreport had been reassigned to qa. Given that there is an additional FTBFS bug openned, in which we see the package maintainer is running woody and thus does not see the problem, I allow myself to suggest that this bugreport be re-assigned to ftp.d.o again for removal of bock.
Doing QA on packages is cool, but when such a package is holding a lib, which in turn holds 11 packages[1], and the maintainer does not respond, I think it is time to take due measures - this thing is pissing off other developpers...
