Bug#121815: kit unusable on low-res screen

On a low-res, such as a PC with an original VGA (320x200x8bpp) mode or a
handheld (240x320), kit is unusable because the password field in the
preferences dialog will not fit on the screen and no text can be entered
there.

If you don't have a computer other than the one with the low res display
adaptor, you won't even know that the password field exists and will have no
indication of why kit is failing.
