Hello world,

Things still remaining before we can move onto the next phase of the
freeze:

        * All the bugs listed below need to be fixed

        * Any of alpha, mips, mipsel, s390, sh or hurd-i386
that want to release need to upload a current version of
boot-floppies (3.0.8 at the time of writing), and post an
installation report to the debian-testing@lists.debian.org list.

The deadlines from the last mail were August 4th, which was last
week.

Since the last status update, we've got hppa and ia64 partially
integrated into woody, and we've got legal advice about the crypto in main
issue. Both these need a little more work before they're complete though.
There hasn't been much progress on the RC base bugs though.

Currently open RC bugs against base packages are: (by source package)

tasksel tasks include some task- packages. Can be fixed after
                base freeze.
--> Freeze unaffected for the moment

modutils and exim probably should be NMUed by QA, apt appears to just
need a maintainer upload, db2 needs some investigation and a fix to be
worked out (urgently), and console-common could use some investigation.

Cheers,
aj
