Yep, I also thought I had seen it in the GNOME CVS. I had a look in
their bonsai tree the other day, no luck. If the asclock in the panel
can't run all alone that was a very stupid change.

The correct thing would be to merge them again, so it works on the panel
and standalone using the same binary.
