Just wanted to tell you that I prepared an upload for htmldoc
fixing this bug. You can find it at

htmldoc (1.8.4-1.1) unstable; urgency=low
* Non maintainer upload.
* Rebuilt against current sid to fix the undefined symbol when
running htmldoc (closes: #88273).
* debian/control: Add Build-Depends.
* debian/rules: Don't call dh_suidregister anymore since it is
obsolete.
I will upload it not before Apr 16th and not at all if you tell me
to stop :)
