X-Reportbug-Version: 0.54 X-Mailer: reportbug 0.54 Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2000 23:44:47 -0500 Bcc: Tom Rothamel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Package: realplayer Version: 6.0.0.99092901.12 Severity: wishlist Today, as I apt-get dist-upgraded, a new version of the realplayer package was installed. I didn't have the 7.0 files, nor did I want to download them right then. However, there was no way to abort the upgrade of realplayer while still continuing on with the rest of the upgrade. So, I guess what I'm requesting is that there be some way of aborting/suspending the realplayer upgrade while continuing on with the rest of the upgrade process. IIRC, ssh allows/allowed one to do this as part of the openssh transition. Alternatively, the fetch of realplayer could be done with a separate script, rather than as part of the configuration of the package. Feel free to do what you want with these ideas, be it implementing or ignoring them... but I do hope you at least consider them. -- System Information Debian Release: woody Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux nadia 2.3.34 #4 Fri Mar 10 19:46:28 EST 2000 i686 Versions of packages realplayer depends on: ii cpio 2.4.2-32 GNU cpio -- a program to manage ar ii debconf 0.2.107 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.1.3-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.8 2.90.29-2 The GNU stdc++ library (old egcs v ii xlib6g 3.3.6-6 shared libraries required by X cli --------------------------------------- Received: (at 83038-close) by bugs.debian.org; 24 Feb 2001 20:12:06 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Feb 24 14:12:06 2001 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from auric.debian.org [::ffff:206.246.226.45] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 14Wl30-00009Q-00; Sat, 24 Feb 2001 14:12:06 -0600 Received: from troup by auric.debian.org with local (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 14Wkzk-0006jB-00; Sat, 24 Feb 2001 15:08:44 -0500 From: Brian Russo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Bug#83038: fixed in realplayer 8.0.1 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: James Troup <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 24 Feb 2001 15:08:44 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of realplayer, which has been installed in the Debian FTP archive: realplayer_8.0.1.dsc to pool/contrib/r/realplayer/realplayer_8.0.1.dsc realplayer_8.0.1.tar.gz to pool/contrib/r/realplayer/realplayer_8.0.1.tar.gz realplayer_8.0.1_i386.deb to pool/contrib/r/realplayer/realplayer_8.0.1_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
