/usr/lib/RealPlayer8/realplay: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/Common/rcacore.so.6.0: undefined symbol: XtVaAppCreateShell I had the same problem with vim-gtk (even in console). I removed it and installed plain old vim and it works fine again.
