Hi, I've done some work with crafty, my main motivation being getting a more recent version packaged and installed. I also tried to squash some existing bugs while I was at it, with more or less successful results. I moved learning files (book openings etc.) to /var/games/crafty following example fro phalanx. However lintian keeps complaining as follows:
W: crafty: file-in-unusual-dir var/games/crafty/books.bin W: crafty: non-standard-file-perm var/games/crafty/books.bin 0664 != 0644 If I move the files in /var/lib/games/crafty, lintian gives errors and tells me not to mark those files as conffiles. But the files shouldn't be removed unless the package is purged. How should this be handled? I am no Debian maintainer nor am I even applying to become as one. I'm just an above (yeah, right) average user with a bit too much time at hand. Anyway, the packages can be found from http://togo.dhs.org/debian/ . Hope this is useful for someone else besides me too. -- Tommi Komulainen [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG 1024D/68388EE6 6FD6 DD79 EB38 BF6F 3533 09C0 04A8 9871 6838 8EE6
